About the Artisans

Atacama Home has partnered with a studio founded by a mother and daughter team that seeks to honor traditional craftsmanship and combine it with modern techniques  to create simple, durable and functional pieces that are beautiful and unique. 

Every piece is handmade by expert artisans in their workshop in Mexico City following fair trade practices and making sure to have the least impact on the environment as possible. 

Please note: Every item is handmade, so each mug will have some natural variations in size and color. Crazing is normal and does not affect the durability of the product.

Care instructions:

Our ceramics are lead and cadmium free. Besides the color personality of our glazes, our ceramics were designed to withstand and endure everyday use activities.

All of our products are microwave and dishwasher safe. Avoid extreme differences in temperature, allow a gradual change. Use a non-abrasive cloth or sponge and warm, soapy water to clean. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
